Synopsis: Because adoption is not just about the parents' journey, because the child remains the common thread to which we must always refer, Pupille, directed by Jeanne Herry, honors the adopter, but above all the adoptee.
Théo, born to an anonymous birth mother, finds himself caught up in the administrative maze of the adoption process until he meets Alice, a single woman who is struggling to adopt.
Pupille is also an ode to this child, who must be supported from birth until adoption. Who must be loved and encouraged, both by child welfare services and his foster family, as well as his permanent family.
