Blood donation: combine back-to-school season with solidarity!

The French Blood Establishment is appealing to you because blood bags are essential for treating patients, whose needs are constant.
Everyone may need it, so when school starts again, let's get together and donate blood!

What you should know before donating:
- feel healthy;
- be between 18 and 70 years old;
- weigh at least 50 kg;
- have photo identification;
- not having received a blood transfusion;
- and, on site, be deemed eligible during the pre-donation interview.
Before traveling, remember to takethe online teston the EFS website to find out if you are affected by any contraindications.
From arrival to departure, allow between 45 minutes and 1 hour(don't worry, the donation itself only takes 10 minutes on average). Please note that it is best to eat beforehand and stay well hydrated throughout the donation process.
In the following cases, donations must be deferred by:
- 24 hours after cavity treatment or scaling;
- 7 days after completing a course of antibiotics;
- 14 days after an infectious episode;
- 4 months after an endoscopy, piercing, or tattoo;
- Four months after traveling to a country where malaria is prevalent.
