CINÉ DROIT EVENT

Erin is a single mother of three. Having already taken a chance by getting hired at a law firm, she stumbles upon an old case file and decides, once again on her own, to build a case for a class-action lawsuit on behalf of all the victims of a massive environmental disaster.
This film is, of course, the story of an American myth: the idea that sheer willpower can overcome any obstacle to succeed in society. But it is also an excellent description of the American class action procedure. It also serves as an excellent basis for discussing the differences with the “French-style class action.”
