Young people's views in France and Germany

Both countries, and young people in particular, are facing major societal, climatic and geopolitical challenges.
The Franco-German Office for Youth (OFAJ) commissioned Kantar Public to carry out a representative study in which a total of 1,527 young people in Germany and 1,551 young people in France aged 16 to 25 were asked how they saw the future.
Around two-thirds of young people in France and Germany are worried about their future. They are particularly dissatisfied with their opportunities for participation, and see climate change as the biggest challenge. Although young people in both countries take a fairly critical view of the future, they are optimistic about Franco-German cooperation and European solidarity.
